Nimble and ultralight, the new Sky 7 HD Ws crushed it on everything from long, slick groomers to choppy side-of-trail chunk to Slurpee-like mush. A carbon alloy matrix gives them pop in and out of turns and makes you want to drive down every fall line. The hollowed out honeycomb tip helps them float in powder. And the Powder Turn Rocker (a mix of camber and rocker) keeps them loose and playful in low-energy turns. Rossi positions them as a freeride ski built for off-trail ripping, but you can make a nice carved turn on them, too. “A real YES! ski,” said one tester. “Damp and playful.”
