An immortal winter giant, Arapahoe Basin stands tall with a summit elevation of 13,050 feet, blanketed in fresh snow. A-Basin offers skiers and riders a hundred trails expertly carved through its depths and seven chairlifts raising patrons above the treeline.

Since 1946 Arapahoe Basin has been serving up a fantastic ride for skiers or riders from the Colorado area as well as the world. A-Basin opened on October 9, 2009 and was one of the first to open nationally. Arapahoe Basin receives over 350 inches of snowfall annually.

The sundeck off A-Basin's base lodge offers beatiful views and strong rays, making for the perfect asmosphere for end-of-the-day libations.

With a base of close to 11,000 feet and a summit elevation more than 13,000 feet, Arapahoe Basin Ski Area has the highest skiable terrain in North America and a vertical drop of 2,270 feet.

With an average annual snowfall of more than 300 inches, there are plenty of powder days to be had at The Legend.

Steeps, rockbands, cliffs, bowls, chutes and bumps make up the terrain at the Basin. The Montezuma Bowl expansion increased the ski area's terrain by 80 percent during the 07/08 season. The 400-acre Montezuma Bowl is located on the backside of the mountain and includes blue, black and double black slopes for a total of 36 additional runs.
