Oboz Helium

Oboz who? That’s what our testers said, too. Backpackers have known the Bozeman, Montana company’s hiking boots since 2007. Now, Oboz’s trail-ready tech comes in a trim multisport package. The Helium’s supple mesh upper allows air circulation and drainage; a dual-density EVA midsole and footplates help them glide over trail. Tester’s take: “Amazing balance of lightweight feel and rugged durability.” Swami gripe: They run a half-size small. Swami like: Toothy tread pattern gobbles up steep, rocky terrain. 10.7 oz; $120; obozfootwear.com
