Overview: It's a "LEED-certified eco-boutique" hotel in the heart of Teton Village, but because the place was developed by one-time extreme skier, Rob DesLauriers, the vibe is more skier-cool and legit than you'd expect from an eco-boutique. Skiing and climbing shots from Jackson and the Himalaya line the walls, and the rooms say mountain lodge without the kitsch.
Notable: A 68,000 square foot eco addition was added last year, complete with 4,200 square feet of meeting space, rooftop pool, and fitness facility.
Our Take: Lots of hotels like to drop in eco-friendly bath soaps and placards telling you to use your dirty towel so they can call themselves green, but the Hotel Terra is the real deal. From the linens to the insulation and everything in between, it's green without being cloyingly in- your-face about it. And, the place is plush.
Stay Here If: Being immediately adjacent to four season recreation matters; as does supporting smart building and sustainability.
