"Instead of a heli company, we're a guide company," says WPG co-owner Rusty Dassing. "We go out and find the best snow." WPG works a 50-mile stretch of mountains from Provo all the way to Ogden. And the runs are classic Wasatch terrain: exposed steeps and chutes above aspen and pine forests. Everythign buried in Utah powder. They also offer some lower-angle powder fields for intermediate skiers. They break groups up by ability. That way one person isn't holding up the rest. If you're not exactly sure about yours, a guide will ski with you at Snowbird or The Canyons—each has a Powderbird office and heli-pad—for an evaluation. Once you've booked your trip, you'll get seven flights with runs ranging from 1,000 to 3,000 vertical feet.
