Gregory's innovative JetStream LTS (load transfer system) provides plenty of support for bigger days in the hills, while a true air channel ventilates the center of the back. The Z45 is a traditional, 45-liter top loader, but a zippered side hatch makes it easy to grab gear from the bottom of the pack. It also sports an easy-to-swap adjustable hip belt that accommodates several waist sizes.
Swami gripe: The baffled pockets on the hip belt are a little too big and blocky.
Swami like: The three exterior stuff pockets on the pack allow for quick storage and retrieval of water, extra layers, or food.
