Despite a slightly clunky feel out of the box, these women’s-specific hiking shoes loosened up on the trail and got more flexible and comfortable with each hike. Firm cushioning makes them feel responsive, and a protective and waterproof upper makes them a perfect choice for running in mud, winter slush, and summer thunderstorms. A stiff build offers good support and rock protection. A thick, dual-density EVA insole adds to underfoot protection. And Vibram outsoles inspired confidence on dirt, rock, and snow. Said one tester, “Even scrambling on steep rock faces, I felt comfortable.”
Swami gripe: Not super breathable. Swami like: Four-season versatility. 10.7 oz. (women’s only)
